What makes It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia funny? Is it the constant bickering? The outlandish scenarios? The foul language? Well, the answer is all of those things and a hell of a lot more. But, at the core of every one of the show’s best elements comes the leading characters.
The owners of Paddy’s Pub are a rowdy lot who entertain you effortlessly with their ridiculous personalities and awful schemes, and sitting right in the middle of that group is the trio of Charlie, Mac and Dennis.
These three hold the luxury of being there from the beginning, with their actors (Charlie Day, Rob McElhenney and Glenn Howerton) having created the original pilot. Even the beloved Kaitlin Olson hadn’t joined by that point, meaning this trio truly is the heart and soul of the show.
Thanks to this, there’s plenty of fun to be had in sorting between their quotes, as they have all said some ludicrous things within the show’s tenure. Prepare yourself for plenty of slurs, crass humour and shock value.
If you can score highly on this quiz, you must be a Paddy’s regular.
